The Industry Brochure "AERODISP® Fumed Silica and Metal Oxide Dispersions" is a survey about the usage of AERODISP® dispersions in different applications. AERODISP® dispersions are easy to handle and to work with, in many applications their properties outperform those of powders. The effects of dispersions produced from AEROSIL® or AEROXIDE® are described in several chapters, also their properties and the methods for their physico-chemical characterization are discussed. An AERODISP® Product Overwiew and an Application Chart give hints, which dispersions to choose for the desired application.

This technical information provides detailed information about handling of AERODISP® dispersions. The handling advantages using our AERODISP® dispersions are described within different chapters, e.g. types of packaging, samples and bulk deliveries.
Paper bags require a sufficient degree of surface friction to enable stable stacking during transport of the bags. This technical information describes the use of AERODISP® fumed silica dispersions as a very effictive replacement for simple colloidal silica. Very high coefficients of static friction can be reached with very little amounts of fumed silica.
TI 1371 describes the improvements, formulators can achieve by using AERODISP® technology in waterborne coatings formulations. These benefits include, improved anti-settling in systems containing matting agents, pigments or other fillers, improved film formation, anti-sag, anti-cracking in heavily filled systems, and improved dirt pick-up resistance. The results of a scientific study conducted in cooperation with the University of Minnesota are also covered, describing the improvements in film formation in acrylic resins provided by AERODISP® W 7520.
