Without pyrogenic oxides, many everyday things would be unthinkable. AEROSIL^® can be found, for instance, in the cosmetics industry, where it increases the temperature stability of lipsticks. It is also used in the production of offshore yachts and in the electronics industry. At the same time, AEROSIL^® is used in silicone sealants which can be found in any bathtub as well as in car paints. In this case, pyrogenic oxides result in thixotropy, low moisture absorption, mechanical stability and the optimization of rheological properties.

In our research centres, we work to devise new solutions for a very wide array of products which, in turn, will lead to continuing developments of our customers' own products. We invest in future-oriented and innovative applications in order to share these expanding markets with our customers. Due to the fact that AEROSIL^® displays such a high level of versatility, it might well be that tomorrow we will be active in markets which we know nothing about today.
