Recommended AEROSIL® fumed silica grades for the food industry

The following table summarizes some of the most important applications. The recommendations are valid for typical products within the respective group. Individual products may behave slightly different.

In the European Union we offer the grades:

• AEROSIL^® 200 F and AEROSIL^® 380 F

These products fulfill the special hygiene demands of the food industry and are delivered with valid HACCP certificates.

Buying AEROSIL^® 200 F and AEROSIL^® 380 F from Antwerp, you can be sure to follow all European hygiene-requirements with respect to our material. In the other regions AEROSIL^® 200 and AEROSIL^® 380 are supplied for food applications.

For various free flow applications the hydrophobic fumed silica grade AEROSIL® R 202 provides additional advantages, such as very low flow additive concentrations. This grade is approved for the US only!
