AEROSIL® fumed silica for defoamers
AEROSIL® fumed silica are used in defoamer, foam inhibitors, foam regulators and/or deaerator formulations based on various hydrophobic liquids such as mineral oil, silicone oil and/or vegetable oil.
Properly dispersed in oil, AEROSIL® effectively disrupt the formation of bubbles in most kinds of foams by impairing bubble stability and causing bubbles to burst as they begin to form.
AEROSIL® hydrophobic fumed silica is an effective defoamer booster.
AEROSIL® fumed silica is often used as a rheology modifier and antisettling agent in oil and emulsion formulations.
